Plane Crash

RE:          Plane crash in Putnam County, June 5, 2020

 

A Piper 31T twin engine turbo prop aircraft crashed in a densely wooded area off Tanyard Road approximately 6 miles NE of Eatonton, GA.

 

There were 5 people who perished in the crash.

 

 

The victims were as follows:

 

 

The pilot and owner of aircraft was Larry Ray Pruitt, age 67 of Morriston, FL.

 

 

Shawn Charles Lamont, age 41 of Gainesville, FL and his wife Jody Rae Lamont, age 43, who was the daughter of Larry Pruitt of Gainesville. Wife of Shawn and daughter of Larry Pruitt.

 

 

Also killed were Jayce Lamont (male), age 6, and Alice Lamont (female) age 6, who were the children of Shawn and Jody Lamont.

 

 

The family was flying from Williston, FL to Newcastle, IN to attend a funeral.

 

 

The fire has been extinguished and remains of the dead have been recovered. The FAA is to be on the scene conducted their investigation tomorrow morning.
